This Privacy Policy describes how Animation Patterns (animationpatterns.art) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit this website, including the interactive Living Motion Atlas and the animation pattern library.

Information We Collect

Animation Patterns is a statically delivered motion-design publication. We do not require accounts, do not operate an application database for visitor profiles, and do not knowingly collect personal information through an on-site form. The site and its service providers may process the following limited information:

  • Usage analytics — page views, a small set of bounded Atlas actions, campaign labels supplied in eligible URLs, and Core Web Vitals, together with information Google Analytics normally processes such as browser/device metadata and approximate geographic region.
  • Advertising signals — cookies and identifiers used by Google AdSense to serve and measure advertisements.
  • Delivery and security data — the hosting/CDN infrastructure may process the requested address, IP address, user agent, and timestamps to deliver and protect the static site.

Living Motion Atlas Data

Atlas measurement is deliberately limited to scene names, whether the first accepted interaction used the field or its instrument, Pause/Resume, applied Reset or Randomize, successful link copy, successful PNG download start, and the CLS, LCP, and INP performance metrics. The site does not send Canvas pixels, PNG files or filenames, seeds, intensity values, Gesture replay models, pointer coordinates, pointer timing, drawn Gesture paths, error text, viewport dimensions, or Web Vital element attribution as custom analytics event data.

A custom Gesture path stays in browser memory. A shared Atlas link contains bounded experiment settings in its query string, and a fresh page opened with Atlas state does not initialize this site's Google Analytics or AdSense scripts. The same fail-closed rule applies when a query is mixed, uses unknown or duplicate keys, falls outside the character and length rules, or is oversized.

A campaign URL is processed only when it contains exactly one nonempty UTM source and exactly one nonempty UTM medium, with no more than one optional campaign ID, name, term, or content value. Before Google scripts load, the site maps values that pass its key, character, and length allowlist to Google Analytics campaign fields and removes the query from the browser address while preserving the exact path and fragment. This syntactic filter cannot determine whether a value is personal information; campaign values must never contain personal information. The app-defined initial Google page measurement is supplied an address made only from the origin and pathname; query strings, fragments, and referrer paths are excluded by the site code. Hosting/CDN request logs are separate from this browser-side measurement boundary and may receive the original requested address.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

This site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies through the following services:

On eligible clean or normalized campaign pages, Google Analytics may add its standard request context, including page title, browser/device signals, language, screen resolution, consent-dependent identifiers, and options enabled under Enhanced Measurement such as page views, scroll depth, or outbound-link clicks. Those Google-generated fields are separate from the bounded custom Atlas event payload described above.

For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the site initializes Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization denied before Google scripts. The published Google-certified consent message can update those signals from a visitor's choice when its account-level Consent Mode options are enabled. Outside those regions, analytics storage defaults to granted while the three advertising purposes remain denied. When storage is denied, Google may still receive cookieless measurement pings. Consent Mode is a technical signal and does not replace rights or choices available under applicable law.

Third-Party Advertising — Google AdSense
